Lost & Found Part 2

sorry no cure!

an eye for an eye... that's why it took me a week to reply ur mail!

he he he, no time lar. working in CTB is like selling one's soul to Sandy Weil... err or the faceless-shareholders in the US... who r these ppl?... u kno we shud like hav a campaign to introduce these distinguished gentlemen to everyone including the toilet cleaners to foster a greater sense of identity as a Citibanker... wat u think?

only one prob though, i might be suddenly interested in finding out where they stay & then, contact Osama bin Laden, u kno, to pay them a lovely visit, just to say hi & deliver a card... to express my gratitude to them on how lucky i feel to spend two-third of my living days making them richer... hmmm... u think they'll be touched?

i think i wud also, make a special request for bin Laden to sing them a song as well... God Bless America before pulling a shot-gun & complete the mission... that'll be neat, wouldn't it?

i hope this mail pass surveillance ...

it's ok that u didn't recognise me at the annual dinner, i didn't recognise myself, when i was finished wt the ridiculous hairdo.
it was just a last minute, desperate attempt to achieve a "wet-look". but as God would like to have it His way, He has endowed me with tungsten-hair, that no hair-gel in the entire consumer market, has been designed "super-hard" enough to decently hold them down... sigh, i hate David Beckham...
i'd like to think that my hair was a bit like the food served that nite... i thought i heard someone whsipered..."What d F*** are we eating?" sometime between the 3rd and the 4th course. then, someone else muttered, "It's fine-dining, my dear...", and was quickly responded with "Fine dining-my-freaking-a**!" ... seriously though, i enjoyed the whatever-smoked lamb... i find myself struggling to finish my portion... i offered the left-overs to my neighbour... only thing is she was too demure to eat lamb... she's a self-confessed-reformed vegetarian, apparently... sigh, i like meat...

anyway, dat's all for now... u take care now... have a good week ahead

Dear fellow colleagues,

Have you lost something lately?

Something that, probably if you have not left near the sink at the
pantry (proximate distance 300 metres away... certified by Alam Flora) ,
would still be your coffee/tea or water container at this moment.

Err...don't fret. Stephanie has deliberated on the matter, and decided
that she's far too compassionate to dispose those nice & colourful cups.
I could almost see tears welling up her eyes and hear the climax of the
Swan Lake, when she asked me to send this mail. Serious.

So, have compassion on her and go claim your missing cups from her. She
has been kind enough to keep them safe for the concerned.

Don't worry about seeing her. She doesn't bite. She could use a cup of
coffee, though, if you are so inclined. Or probably 2 words called "you"
and "thank"... err... or is it the other way around? Go figure.

P.S - Don't pay attention to the part about Swan Lake. If you did and
wished you hadn't, think of it as Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a
Thang" of the 19th century.

Yours truly,
Anthony on behalf of Stephanie

Lost & Found Part XVI

E-mail sent on behalf of boss to colleagues... the message is self-explanatory

2nd Year Annivesary

Today, we observe the annivesary of the event that magnified what was already brewing for ages ... and we call it ... 9/11. I call it "old story" with different protagonists and antagonists. Sigh. Let us pray hard for changes, lah.
Remember "Sowing the Seeds of Love" by Tears for Fears, "Heal the World" by MJ, "Voices that Care" by David Foster & kuncu-kuncu, "What's Goin On" by Bono & friends, etc? All the songs that struck the same "chord".
Here's a new tune, with familiar words. Check it out. (featuring Justin Timberlake).

Artist: Black Eyed Peas
Album: Elephunk
Title: Where is the Love? *

what's wrong with the world, mama?
people livin like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world's addicted to the drama
only attracted to the things that'll bring the drama
overseas ya we tryin to stop terrorism
but we still got terrorists here livin
in the U.S.A, the big C.I.A
the bloods & the crips, and the KKK
but if you only got love for your own ways
then you only leave space to discriminate
and to discriminate only generates hate
and when you hate, then you're bound to get irate
madness is what you demonstrate
and that's exactly how anger works and operates
man ya gotta have love, this'll set us straight
take control of your mind and meditate
let your soul gravitate, to the love ya'll

people killin
people dyin
children hurt and
women cryin
will you practice what you preach
and would you turn the other cheek
father father father, help us
need some guidance from above
these people got me got me questionin
where is the love?
(love) where is the love?
(the love) where is the love?
(the love) where is the love?
(where is the love the love my love)

it just ain't the same
old ways have changed
new days are strange, is world insane?
if love and peace is so strong
why are there pieces of love that don't belong
nations droppin bombs
chemical gasses fillin lungs of little ones
with ongoin sufferin, as the youth die young
so ask yourself, is the lovin really gone
so I can ask myself, really what is going wrong
with this world that we livin in, people keep on givin in
makin wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
not respectin eachother, deny thy brother
a war is goin on but the reason's under cover
the truth is kept secret, and swept under the rug
if you never know truth, then you never know love
where's the love ya'll? (i don't know)
where's the truth ya'll? (i don't know)
and where's the love ya'll?

people killin
people dyin
children hurt and
women cryin
will you practice what you preach
and would you turn the other cheek
father father father, help us
need some guidance from above
these people got me got me questionin
where is the love?
(love) where is the love?
(the love) where is the love?
(the love) where is the love?
where is the love?
(love) where is the love?
(the love) where is the love?
(the love) where is the love?
(where is the love the love my love)

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
as I'm getting older, ya'll people gets colder
most of us only care about money makin
selfishness got us followin the wrong direction
wrong information always shown by the media
negative images is the main criteria
infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
..
whatever happened to the values of humanity?
whatever happened to the fairness and equality
instead of spreading love we spreadin animosity
lack of understandin leading us away from unity
that's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin under
that's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin down
It's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin under
gotta keep my faith alive till love is found
now ask yourself

where is the love?
where is the love?
where is the love?
where is the love?
father father father, help us
need some guidance from above
these people got me got me questionin
where is the love?
now sing with me ya'll (one love one love)
we only got (one love one love)
that's all we got (one love one love)
and something's wrong with it
something's wrong with it
something's wrong with the w-w-world
we only got (one love one love)
that's all we got (one love one love)

What Am I On Earth For?

My purpose?
There are a few things I came up with. I thought they are pretty cool. I would want my invention to think & act accordingly. Ain't it, Lord? I think, I’ll stick to them for a while.

To glorify God, Almighty!
Live a principle-centred/wise life
See myself as a winner led by God
Achieve greatness
Live each day as if it’s my last
Put first things first

Surrender to God in good & hard moments
Be a force for good
Be the change that I seek
Believe in possibilities
Make things happen
Be positive & proactive
Improve myself continuously
Ask questions
Educate my conscience & mind
